When it comes to selecting the right retailer for your ACUVUE VITA contact lenses, there are a few crucial factors to keep in mind. Some retailers, such as ContactsDirect, 1-800 Contacts, Lensabl, Lenscrafters and DiscountContactLenses, have earned a stellar reputation for their commitment to customer satisfaction and exceptional service when it comes to selling ACUVUE VITA. These trusted names in the industry have a long-standing history of delivering on their promises, ensuring that your contact lens purchasing experience is smooth and hassle-free.

The 12-lens box gives you an additional 12% in savings compared to the 6-lens box.

When does it make sense to opt for the smaller 6-lens box size?

If you're someone who only occasionally wears contact lenses, maybe for activities like sports, travel, or special occasions, the smaller 6-lens box of ACUVUE VITA could be the perfect choice. You get the convenience of having contact lenses on hand without the commitment of a larger supply. Moreover, if you're a first-time contact lens user and not entirely sure about a long-term commitment, the smaller box size provides you with the flexibility to experiment. This allows you to assess comfort, convenience, and suitability without the need to invest in a larger supply until you're completely confident in your choice.

When shopping for ACUVUE VITA, it's important to be cautious and not base your decision solely on the lowest advertised price you encounter online. Some retailers employ deceptive tactics, such as the bait-and-switch method, where they entice customers with seemingly unbeatable prices, only to add substantial handling fees (a cost we include in our price calculation). Additionally, while retailer mail-in rebates may seem appealing, we strongly recommend to check the requirements for the claim submission to receive a prepaid Visa or Mastercard reward. Such rebates involve extra steps and potentially lengthy delays in realizing your savings.

Yes. Special discounts for ACUVUE VITA are a popular and instant way to save on your purchase. They change frequently and the most prominent approach for retailers is to offer them at the top of each page or their home page.

ACUVUE VITA discount codes can be applied during the checkout process to calculate a revised order total, often reflecting a 5 to 20% reduction from the original order cost.

When considering mail-in rebates for contact lenses like ACUVUE VITA, it's important to note that manufacturers such as Johnson & Johnson primarily offer these incentives through a network of ECPs (eye care professionals). And that's the catch: they are usually only available when you purchase your lenses from your optometrist or eye doctor where you get your eye exam. Online retailers typically don't offer manufacturer rebates.

Manufacturer mail-in rebate for ACUVUE VITA
Valid: January 1, 2024 - June 30, 2024
  • Save $25 when you buy 2 boxes with 6 lenses (6 month supply).
  • Save $25 when you buy 1 boxes with 12 lenses (6 month supply).
  • Save $50 when you buy 4 boxes with 6 lenses (annual supply).
  • Save $50 when you buy 2 boxes with 12 lenses (annual supply).

Check our rebate page for additional details. And keep in mind: Contact lens prices at your optometrist are often much higher than the prices you see on this page - even after getting a mail-in rebate for your purchase at your eye doctor's office.

To put it simply, the process of utilizing mail-in rebates can be quite time-consuming and occasionally frustrating. Typically, it involves making your lens purchase online, logging into your retailer account, and obtaining a rebate form that you'll need to print. After completing the form and mailing it, you'll be waiting for a pre-paid VISA card or a similar prepaid card to show up in your mailbox. This entire process can often take 10 to 12 weeks or, in some cases, even longer from the time of your initial purchase. Moreover, it's crucial to understand that you have to order a larger quantity for your ACUVUE VITA lenses and smaller orders might not qualify for the rebate.

In our price comparison for ACUVUE VITA, we explicitly state whether a particular offer's price is contingent upon a mail-in rebate requirement. It's also important to be aware that the retailer offering such a rebate might not always provide the best overall deal. Exercise caution when making your decision.

Have you ever experienced that unpleasant surprise when you're about to complete an online purchase, and suddenly, there's an unexpected handling fee added to your total cost? Fortunately, there are only a few retailers that sneak in these fees during the checkout process, catching customers off guard. These additional costs can effectively double the overall price you thought you were getting a great deal on.

On top, you might see a price advertised, which requires your to send in a mail-in rebate form, making you pay more upfront and then go through a lengthy rebate process. We call this practice "Inflated Pricing," or some might refer to it as "Hidden Costs." Dealing with such retailers can leave a bad taste in your mouth.

But what drives retailers to implement these handling fees in the first place? The answer lies in their strategy to make their advertised ACUVUE VITA prices look more competitive on various online platforms. They aim to attract clicks by displaying lower initial prices on search engines without disclosing these additional fees.

On this price comparison table for ACUVUE VITA, we make sure to alert you to the potential presence of these handling fees. When applicable, we include these fees in the prices we display and show a small note (e.g. 'After mail-in rebate and handling fees'), providing you with a clear and accurate comparison of the true cost of your purchase.

Some retailers offer a 'Best Price Match' or 'Best Price Guarantee' when you purchase ACUVUE VITA. But how straightforward is it to make a claim for such a price match? The devil is in the details, and it's worth considering whether the effort is worthwhile, especially when you can initially find a more cost-effective retailer. Here are some retailer requirements we have seen:

  • Retailer must be able to verify that the competitor's price is for the exact same product and box size, such as the ACUVUE VITA 12-pack, and that it's in stock.
  • The price match request must be made within a certain number of days after your purchase and must be supported by providing a link to the competitor's product page.
  • The competitor must be an authorized retailer or listed among accepted retailers, and their pricing shouldn't be part of a limited-time promotion, clearance sale, or membership-based program.
  • The final matched price should include any additional fees, such as handling charges, shipping costs, and taxes, to ensure an accurate comparison.

Keep in mind that other restrictions may also apply, so always review the details on their website! Retailers who advertise a price match guarantee on their website for a product like ACUVUE VITA include:

No, a valid prescription is necessary when buying contact lenses online in the United States. ACUVUE VITA are categorized as medical devices, and as such, federal regulations mandate the need for a licensed eye doctor's prescription tailored to your specific requirements. However, the process of purchasing online is made hassle-free as you are not required to physically send a copy of your prescription. Instead, you can provide your eye doctor's office phone number and location where you obtained your prescription. The online vendor will then contact them to verify your prescription. It's important to note that, according to the Contact Lens Rule, you are not obligated to purchase your contact lenses from the same place that prescribed them. Most contact lens retailers feature a user-friendly option during the checkout process, allowing you to locate and automatically input your eye doctor's information, making the validation process smooth and simple.

Wondering if your eyeglass prescription can be used to purchase ACUVUE VITA contact lenses? The short answer is 'No'. Eyeglass prescriptions typically contain information about the power needed for your lenses, but they lack crucial details like the base curve (BC) and diameter (DIA) required for ordering contact lenses. In other words. A contact lens prescription is for a certain product with distinct technical parameters matching the anatomy and the vision correction requirements of your eyes. To get a contact lens prescription and fitting, consult with an Eye Care Professional (ECP) or optometrist, especially if you're a first-time wearer. Additionally, remember that you are not obligated to purchase your contact lenses from the same place where you received your prescription. Always ask for a copy of your contact lens prescription.

Absolutely, like all soft contact lenses, ACUVUE VITA come with an expiry date. These lenses are made from materials which degrade or lose their sterility over time. Manufacturers determine the expiry date during the packaging and sealing process, and it is clearly printed on both the box and the lid of each lens container. It's important to follow this date and avoid using ACUVUE VITA lenses beyond it, as expired lenses may result in discomfort and an increased risk of eye infections.

Are you thinking about enrolling in a subscription (auto-refill) plan for your ACUVUE VITA contacts? It may seem enticing at first. You commit to automatic reordering every 3, 6, or 12 months and enjoy a 5% or 10% discount. However, pause for a moment: is this really a cost-effective choice? Firstly, changes in your prescription may result from eye exams and ignoring to update your prescription could lead to receiving lenses that no longer align with your vision requirements. Secondly, new deals and promotions, sometimes offering discounts of up to 20%, are consistently popping up on the internet. Therefore, your subscription deal might not be the best offer available.

Yay! Air Optix messed me up! But now I have these.
avatarAmy
I’ve worn Air Optix for Astigmatism for years but then the company changed them to “hydraglyde” and they are awful. My eyes produce mucus and coat them. So my eye doctor switched me to them. As far as the comfort, they are amazing. I may have to come back in a month and lower the rating as my Acuvues last quite a while and some of these reviews say these do not. But for now, I’m happy!
Great for dry eyes
avatarNiki
I've always had the problem that I get very dry eyes in the evening and couldn't see super clearly. This made wearing contact lenses very uncomfortable especially in the late evening (since I have been wearing them all day). At some point, I came across these monthly lenses and have been ordering them for over half a year now and have no more problems with dry eyes in the evening. I really recommend these lenses for people with sensitive eyes. The price and performance is also unbeatable
2nd day
avatarLLL
This is my second day of wearing them, I love them. Wish I would have started wearing them last year, when my eyes were going bad. Better then glasses!!!"
