PRECISION1 vs Clariti 1 Day
Precision1 is a silicone hydrogel lens introduced in 2019 while Clariti 1 day had its first debut in 2009 with an aspheric lens design. These two lenses are daily disposable soft contact lenses with a greater than 50% water content. Besides, Precision1's surface water content gets elevated to 80% due to Alcon's proprietary SMARTSURFACE technology, promising an additional cushion of comfort. UV blocking is available with both lenses, however, PRECISION1 is classified as a Class-1 lens and is blocking a higher percentage of UVA and UVB light than the Clariti 1-day. For 90 lenses the daily cost per eye is similar (albeit the cost for PRECISION1 is currently estimated).
