PRECISION1 versus MyDay - a ComparisonWith PRECISION1, Alcon developed a remarkable lens - a silicone hydrogel lens with a water content of 80% on the lens surface and 51% in the core. And all of this while delivering a highly breathable lens with a 100 Dk/t oxygen transmission value. In contrast, MyDay daily disposable from CooperVision is a silicone hydrogel lens which was introduced in 2015, four years before PRECISION1 saw first light. Both lenses must be replaced daily and while MyDay is available for the correction of Astigmatism and Myopia/Hyperopia, PRECISION1 - at least for now - is only available for the correction of near/far-sightedness. PRECISION1 and MyDay are featuring UV blocking, but it's the Class-1 UV blocking and the high surface water content that sets the PRECISION1 apart. The cost range for MyDay is quite wide and based on our research you can get significant discounts when you buy larger quantities or sign-up for a subscription.
