When shopping for PRECISION1, it's important to be cautious and not base your decision solely on the lowest advertised price you encounter online. Some retailers employ deceptive tactics, such as the bait-and-switch method, where they entice customers with seemingly unbeatable prices, only to add substantial handling fees (a cost we include in our price calculation). Additionally, while retailer mail-in rebates may seem appealing, we strongly recommend to check the requirements for the claim submission to receive a prepaid Visa or Mastercard reward. Such rebates involve extra steps and potentially lengthy delays in realizing your savings.

The 90-lens box gives you an additional 54% in savings compared to the 30-lens box.

When does it make sense to opt for the smaller 30-lens box size?

If you're someone who only occasionally wears contact lenses, maybe for activities like sports, travel, or special occasions, the smaller 30-lens box of PRECISION1 could be the perfect choice. You get the convenience of having contact lenses on hand without the commitment of a larger supply. Moreover, if you're a first-time contact lens user and not entirely sure about a long-term commitment, the smaller box size provides you with the flexibility to experiment. This allows you to assess comfort, convenience, and suitability without the need to invest in a larger supply until you're completely confident in your choice.

Here are additional details on annual savings for PRECISION1 when comparing prices and retailers across various box sizes.

  • For a 6-month supply, buy 6 boxes containing 30 lenses per box or 2 boxes containing 90 lenses.

Discounts

When it comes to selecting the right retailer for your PRECISION1 contact lenses, there are a few crucial factors to keep in mind. Some retailers, such as ContactsDirect, 1-800 Contacts, Lensabl, Lenscrafters and DiscountContactLenses, have earned a stellar reputation for their commitment to customer satisfaction and exceptional service when it comes to selling PRECISION1. These trusted names in the industry have a long-standing history of delivering on their promises, ensuring that your contact lens purchasing experience is smooth and hassle-free.

If you come across rebates for contact lenses like PRECISION1, know that you can only get the discount if you buy the lenses from participating eye doctors and optometrists. If you buy them online, you won't qualify for the discount from the manufacturer.

Manufacturer mail-in rebate for PRECISION1
Valid: July 1, 2023 - December 31, 2023
  • Save $150 when you buy 8 boxes with 90 lenses (annual supply).

Visit our manufacturer mail-in rebate page for additional details. Keep in mind that contact lens prices at your optometrist's office are often considerably higher than the prices we have listed on this page, even after factoring in a mail-in rebate.

To put it simply, the process of utilizing mail-in rebates can be quite time-consuming and occasionally frustrating. Typically, it involves making your lens purchase online, logging into your retailer account, and obtaining a rebate form that you'll need to print. After completing the form and mailing it, you'll be waiting for a pre-paid VISA card or a similar prepaid card to show up in your mailbox. This entire process can often take 10 to 12 weeks or, in some cases, even longer from the time of your initial purchase. Moreover, it's crucial to understand that you have to order a larger quantity for your PRECISION1 lenses and smaller orders might not qualify for the rebate.

Illustration of a Price After Mail-In Rebate. Not Necessarily Cheaper!

In our price comparison for PRECISION1, we explicitly state whether a particular offer's price is contingent upon a mail-in rebate requirement. It's also important to be aware that the retailer offering such a rebate might not always provide the best overall deal. Exercise caution when making your decision.

Some retailers add handling fees during the checkout process, often without prior notice. These fees may catch you by surprise when you've added a product to your shopping cart and are ready to complete the checkout. After registering an account and when ready to provide your credit card information, you suddenly discover an additional handling fee on the final order page. In some cases, these fees can effectively double the overall cost of your purchase, rendering the original product price you saw on an ad or a product landing page no longer a great deal. To add further confusion, some retailers may also offer mail-in rebates, potentially leading you to pay more upfront than initially expected and undergo a lengthy rebate process. We refer to this practice as "Inflated Pricing" (some call it "Hidden Costs"), which can leave a really bad taste when dealing with such retailers.

What prompts the implementation of these handling fees?

Retailers adopt handling fees as a strategy to make their initial PRECISION1 prices on various online advertising platforms appear more competitive, aiming to attract initial clicks. Unfortunately, search engines allow them to display paid product ads at a lower price without disclosing these handling fees.

In our price comparison table for PRECISION1, we provide a note indicating the potential presence of additional handling fees. When applicable, we include these fees in the prices we display. This approach facilitates a more accurate comparison of the true cost of your purchase.

Some retailers offer a 'Best Price Match' or 'Best Price Guarantee' when you purchase PRECISION1. But how straightforward is it to make a claim for such a price match? The devil is in the details, and it's worth considering whether the effort is worthwhile, especially when you can initially find a more cost-effective retailer. Here are some retailer requirements we have seen:

  • Retailer must be able to verify that the competitor's price is for the exact same product and box size, such as the PRECISION1 90-pack, and that it's in stock.
  • The price match request must be made within a certain number of days after your purchase and must be supported by providing a link to the competitor's product page.
  • The competitor must be an authorized retailer or listed among accepted retailers, and their pricing shouldn't be part of a limited-time promotion, clearance sale, or membership-based program.
  • The final matched price should include any additional fees, such as handling charges, shipping costs, and taxes, to ensure an accurate comparison.

Keep in mind that other restrictions may also apply, so always review the details on their website! Retailers who advertise a price match guarantee on their website for a product like PRECISION1 include:

Many retailers offer complimentary shipping when you buy PRECISION1 contact lenses and some of them do have minimum order requirements. You might find offers like 'Free Shipping' for orders over $89 or $99, which could be easily met when you order two boxes for each eye. Yes, you must have a valid prescription to purchase contact lenses in the United States. Contact lenses are classified as medical devices, and the FDA mandates that a licensed eye doctor must prescribe the specific lenses you require. However, you don't need to physically send a copy of your prescription to the online retailer. Instead, you can simply provide the phone number of your eye doctor's office or the place where you received your PRECISION1 prescription. The retailer will then contact them to verify your prescription. Most contact lens retailers offer a convenient feature during the checkout process that allows you to search for and automatically input your eye doctor's details, making the process smooth and hassle-free.

Wondering if you can use your eyeglass prescription to buy PRECISION1 contact lenses? The short answer is no. While your eyeglass prescription specifies the lens power you need, it lacks essential details like the base curve (BC) and diameter (DIA) required for ordering contact lenses. Contact lens prescriptions are for specific products, with technical parameters tailored to your eye anatomy and vision correction needs, which are crucial for ensuring a proper fit on the eye. Consult with an Eye Care Professional (ECP) or an optometrist and get a separate contact lens prescription to ensure safe and effective use of your contact lenses. Additionally, you're not required to purchase your contacts from the same place where you got your prescription. Remember to ask for a copy of your contact lens prescription.

Absolutely, like all soft contact lenses, PRECISION1 come with an expiry date. These lenses are made from materials which degrade or lose their sterility over time. Manufacturers determine the expiry date during the packaging and sealing process, and it is clearly printed on both the box and the lid of each lens container. It's important to follow this date and avoid using PRECISION1 lenses beyond it, as expired lenses may result in discomfort and an increased risk of eye infections.

Are you thinking about enrolling in a subscription (auto-refill) plan for your PRECISION1 contacts? It may seem enticing at first. You commit to automatic reordering every 3, 6, or 12 months and enjoy a 5% or 10% discount. However, pause for a moment: is this really a cost-effective choice? Firstly, changes in your prescription may result from eye exams and ignoring to update your prescription could lead to receiving lenses that no longer align with your vision requirements. Secondly, new deals and promotions, sometimes offering discounts of up to 20%, are consistently popping up on the internet. Therefore, your subscription deal might not be the best offer available.

I love these lenses!
avatarRich M
These are new lenses for me and I have to say they are the best I've ever had. Clarity, they don't move around on my eyes, and I can wear them for an extended time and they don't bother me at all. I saw some other comments about difficulty getting them out of your eye -- and they are correct, I also struggled at first, but figured it out. When I go to take them out I just pull the lens down a bit on my eye, reach very wide with my two fingers and they easily come out. For me, I don't think I was reaching wide enough at first (the lenses seem a bit wider than others) and pulling the lens down a bit first really helped.
My FAVORITE contacts ever!
avatarKaysie
I have tried a few different brands but nothing can compare to the Precision 1 lenses. I was an Acuvue Oasys true believer for many years but after trying these bad boys out - nothing will stop me. The clarity these lenses provide compared to Acuvue Oasys is unmatched, I can see SO MUCH! They are a bit pricey, but that is what stopped me from getting the Dailies Total 1 lenses. I feel like the technology in these lenses keeps my eyes refreshed for so long that I honestly forget I have contacts in, which is new! Highly recommend.
Better fit than acuvue moist for me!
avatarD Abbott
Struggled with acuvue moist contacts falling out and moving around too much in my eyes. Precision 1 is a perfect fit; they don’t move around in my eyes, don’t fall out when I blink, stay moist all day, are very comfortable, and are easier to put in and take out than my old contacts. 110% happy with the decision to try Precision 1!
