"I trialed the Biofinity Multifocal contact lens and the Acuvue Oasys Multifocal lens. The Biofinity were very comfortable, as were the Oasys, but the Biofinity I just couldn't get good distance or near vision.
My trial then moved on to the Oasys, which I'm going to stay with (just bought 2 boxes). The distance vision is fantastic and the near vision is really really good. Intermediate (e.g. sitting in front of a computer or watching tv) - again - is fantastic.
They were more expensive than the Biofinity but they were for me by far the best plus they have the advantage of a 2 week replacement schedule - not monthly. A year and a half ago I had an eye infection so I had been quite conscious about that since. So, yes - Oasys have won. The first time I wore them was for 19 hours which was a very long day and I must say: Fantastic comfort after 19 hours." (TimL)
