Clariti 1 Day versus MyDay Daily Disposable

CooperVision offers two daily disposable contact lenses made from silicone hydrogel material: the well-established Clariti 1 Day and the newer MyDay daily disposable, launched in 2009 and 2015 respectively. Following 1-DAY ACUVUE® TruEye®, Clariti 1 Day became the world's second daily silicone hydrogel lens available by prescription.

Both Clariti 1 Day and MyDay offer Class 2 UV blocking capabilities and boast a 55% water content. Featuring aspherical lens designs, they effectively reduce spherical aberration and halos. While the oxygen transmission of MyDay slightly surpasses that listed for Clariti 1 Day, both lenses are well below some other silicone hydrogel lenses that often exceed 120 Dk/t. This might not necessarily be of practical significance when it comes to comfort as material and moisture retention technologies play a major role in overall and end-of-day comfort and moisture levels.

When you check out prices online, you'll notice that Clariti 1 Day costs about 30-35% less per eye per day than MyDay Daily Disposable.
