Discounts

When shopping for ACUVUE OASYS Multifocal, it's important to be cautious and not base your decision solely on the lowest advertised price you encounter online. Some retailers employ deceptive tactics, such as the bait-and-switch method, where they entice customers with seemingly unbeatable prices, only to add substantial handling fees (a cost we include in our price calculation). Additionally, while retailer mail-in rebates may seem appealing, we strongly recommend to check the requirements for the claim submission to receive a prepaid Visa or Mastercard reward. Such rebates involve extra steps and potentially lengthy delays in realizing your savings.

Instant discounts for ACUVUE OASYS Multifocal offer an effortless and significant way to cut costs on your purchase. One common approach utilized by retailers involves the use of discount or coupon codes, prominently featured at the top of each page or their homepage.

Example of Retailer Discount Codes

When we calculate our price comparisons, we take these codes into account, if applicable. Simply apply these codes during the checkout process to determine a revised order total, which, in most instances, reflects a 5 to 20% reduction from the original order cost.

When considering mail-in rebates for contact lenses like ACUVUE OASYS Multifocal, it's important to note that manufacturers such as Johnson & Johnson primarily offer these incentives through a network of ECPs (eye care professionals). And that's the catch: they are usually only available when you purchase your lenses from your optometrist or eye doctor where you get your eye exam. Online retailers typically don't offer manufacturer rebates.

Manufacturer mail-in rebate for ACUVUE OASYS Multifocal
Valid: January 1, 2024 - June 30, 2024
  • Save $25 when you buy 4 boxes with 6 lenses (6 month supply).
  • Save $50 when you buy 8 boxes with 6 lenses (annual supply).

Check our rebate page for additional details. And keep in mind: Contact lens prices at your optometrist are often much higher than the prices you see on this page - even after getting a mail-in rebate for your purchase at your eye doctor's office.

To put it simply, the process of utilizing mail-in rebates can be quite time-consuming and occasionally frustrating. Typically, it involves making your lens purchase online, logging into your retailer account, and obtaining a rebate form that you'll need to print. After completing the form and mailing it, you'll be waiting for a pre-paid VISA card or a similar prepaid card to show up in your mailbox. This entire process can often take 10 to 12 weeks or, in some cases, even longer from the time of your initial purchase. Moreover, it's crucial to understand that you have to order a larger quantity for your ACUVUE OASYS Multifocal lenses and smaller orders might not qualify for the rebate.

In our price comparison for ACUVUE OASYS Multifocal, we explicitly state whether a particular offer's price is contingent upon a mail-in rebate requirement. It's also important to be aware that the retailer offering such a rebate might not always provide the best overall deal. Exercise caution when making your decision.

Some retailers add handling fees during the checkout process, often without prior notice. These fees may catch you by surprise when you've added a product to your shopping cart and are ready to complete the checkout. After registering an account and when ready to provide your credit card information, you suddenly discover an additional handling fee on the final order page. In some cases, these fees can effectively double the overall cost of your purchase, rendering the original product price you saw on an ad or a product landing page no longer a great deal. To add further confusion, some retailers may also offer mail-in rebates, potentially leading you to pay more upfront than initially expected and undergo a lengthy rebate process. We refer to this practice as "Inflated Pricing" (some call it "Hidden Costs"), which can leave a really bad taste when dealing with such retailers.

What prompts the implementation of these handling fees?

Retailers adopt handling fees as a strategy to make their initial ACUVUE OASYS Multifocal prices on various online advertising platforms appear more competitive, aiming to attract initial clicks. Unfortunately, search engines allow them to display paid product ads at a lower price without disclosing these handling fees.

Some retailers offer a 'Best Price Match' or 'Best Price Guarantee' when you purchase ACUVUE OASYS Multifocal. But how straightforward is it to make a claim for such a price match? The devil is in the details, and it's worth considering whether the effort is worthwhile, especially when you can initially find a more cost-effective retailer. Here are some retailer requirements we have seen:

  • Retailer must be able to verify that the competitor's price is for the exact same product and box size, such as the ACUVUE OASYS Multifocal 6-pack, and that it's in stock.
  • The price match request must be made within a certain number of days after your purchase and must be supported by providing a link to the competitor's product page.
  • The competitor must be an authorized retailer or listed among accepted retailers, and their pricing shouldn't be part of a limited-time promotion, clearance sale, or membership-based program.
  • The final matched price should include any additional fees, such as handling charges, shipping costs, and taxes, to ensure an accurate comparison.

Keep in mind that other restrictions may also apply, so always review the details on their website! Retailers who advertise a price match guarantee on their website for a product like ACUVUE OASYS Multifocal include:

Many retailers offer complimentary shipping when you buy ACUVUE OASYS Multifocal contact lenses and some of them do have minimum order requirements. Yes, you must have a valid prescription to purchase contact lenses in the United States. Contact lenses are classified as medical devices, and the FDA mandates that a licensed eye doctor must prescribe the specific lenses you require. However, you don't need to physically send a copy of your prescription to the online retailer. Instead, you can simply provide the phone number of your eye doctor's office or the place where you received your ACUVUE OASYS Multifocal prescription. The retailer will then contact them to verify your prescription. Most contact lens retailers offer a convenient feature during the checkout process that allows you to search for and automatically input your eye doctor's details, making the process smooth and hassle-free.

Curious whether your eyeglass prescription is sufficient for purchasing ACUVUE OASYS Multifocal contact lenses? The straightforward answer is no. Eyeglass prescriptions primarily specify the lens power you need but lack vital details such as the base curve (BC) and diameter (DIA) required for ordering contact lenses. In essence, a contact lens prescription is tailor-made for a specific product, with technical parameters designed to match the anatomy of your eyes and meet your vision correction needs. To obtain a contact lens prescription and a proper fitting, it's advisable to consult with an Eye Care Professional (ECP) or an optometrist, especially if you're new to wearing contact lenses. Additionally, keep in mind that you are not obligated to purchase your contact lenses from the same place where you received your prescription. Don't forget to request a copy of your contact lens prescription.

Absolutely, like all soft contact lenses, ACUVUE OASYS Multifocal come with an expiry date. These lenses are made from materials which degrade or lose their sterility over time. Manufacturers determine the expiry date during the packaging and sealing process, and it is clearly printed on both the box and the lid of each lens container. It's important to follow this date and avoid using ACUVUE OASYS Multifocal lenses beyond it, as expired lenses may result in discomfort and an increased risk of eye infections.

Are you considering Auto-Refill for your contact lenses? It sounds convenient, right? Some contact lens retailers offer a lens subscription service for your ACUVUE OASYS Multifocal lenses, which automatically delivers your lenses every 3, 6, or 12 months. But let's pause and think about whether it's really valuable. Firstly, eye exams can lead to prescription changes. If you forget to update your prescription or your lens choice, you might end up with lenses that no longer match your vision needs. And secondly, the online world is full of great deals and offers, so it's always worth checking for new promotions before your next purchase.

All good

The near distance could be a tad better, but they are very comfortable and I'm ok with the cost considering the value.
Great but expensive

The Oasys MF are amazing. Unlike my old monthly and daily lenses, they haven't caused any eye problems. Even though I need multifocal lenses because of my age, these work really well. The only downside is that they're quite expensive... To save money, I switch between wearing these and using progressive glasses (which I hate ;-).
Was happy with the old ones

Not everyone's the same.... the oasys presbyopia worked fine, but they no longer make them. With this new design I am having trouble with my near distance vision. Books, phone, puzzles, you name it. i have to get my eyes checked again 😊
