PRECISION1 Contact Lenses
Updated: Jul 21, 2020
PRECISION1 is a new silicone hydrogel contact lens, developed by Alcon and introduced in 2019. The introduction marks the beginning of a new product family and we can expect a toric and a multifocal version in the future.
PRECISION1 is made with Verofilcon A, a silicone hydrogel material with a 51% water content. In addition, Alcon added Class 1 UVA and UVB protection - a feature that is not available with any of the other Alcon daily disposable lenses (such as DAILIES TOTAL1 and Dailies AquaComfort Plus).
PRECISION1 features SMARTSURFACE® Technology, a technology that embeds a higher percentage of water (greater than 80%) on the surface than in the core, making the core highly breathable and the surface extremely moist. Alcon calls this 'aqueous extraction and surface treatment'.
Where can I buy Precision 1?
Precision1 is available through Alcon's Eye Care Practitioner network - just check with your eye doctor. And with a valid prescription, you can also buy PRECISION1 from online retailers in the U.S.
