Air Optix for Astigmatism vs Biofinity toricMillions of patients around the globe rely on contact lenses to correct their astigmatism, and two popular cost-efficient lenses are AIR OPTIX for ASTIGMATISM and Biofinity Toric. Both lenses have a replacement schedule of 30 days, and - while we wouldn't recommend - your eye doctor might even approve them to be worn up to six nights in a row.

AIR OPTIX for ASTIGMATISM and Biofinity Toric are quite similar when you look at the technical parameters and material. The two lenses feature an aspherical design for reduced halos caused by spherical aberration and they are made with a silicone hydrogel base material. Water content and oxygen transmission values put both lenses into the FDA group V-C (silicone hydrogel lenses with less than 50% water). The slightly stiffer AIR OPTIX lens is also available with Alcon's HydraGlyde technology. Both lenses are reasonably priced with a price sticker of around 22 to 36 cents per eye and per day.
