When it comes to selecting the right retailer for your AIR OPTIX plus HydraGlyde Multifocal contact lenses, there are a few crucial factors to keep in mind. Some retailers, such as ContactsDirect, 1-800 Contacts, Lensabl, Lenscrafters and DiscountContacts.com, have earned a stellar reputation for their commitment to customer satisfaction and exceptional service when it comes to selling AIR OPTIX plus HydraGlyde Multifocal. These trusted names in the industry have a long-standing history of delivering on their promises, ensuring that your contact lens purchasing experience is smooth and hassle-free.

With a few retailers, it's essential to exercise caution and not be swayed solely by the lowest advertised price you might come across online for AIR OPTIX plus HydraGlyde Multifocal. They might employ tactics like the bait-and-switch approach, luring customers in with seemingly unbeatable prices, only to tack on exorbitant handling fees (which we incorporate in our price calculation). And while rebates can be enticing, we advise our users to be cautious of retailer mail-in rebates that require submitting or mailing in a form to receive a prepaid Visa or Mastercard reward, as they may involve additional steps and potential long delays in savings realization.

Instant discounts for AIR OPTIX plus HydraGlyde Multifocal offer an effortless and significant way to cut costs on your purchase. One common approach utilized by retailers involves the use of discount or coupon codes, prominently featured at the top of each page or their homepage.

Example of Retailer Discount Codes

When we calculate our price comparisons, we take these codes into account, if applicable. Simply apply these codes during the checkout process to determine a revised order total, which, in most instances, reflects a 5 to 20% reduction from the original order cost.

Example of Discount Codes on Optix-now

If you come across rebates for contact lenses like AIR OPTIX plus HydraGlyde Multifocal, know that you can only get the discount if you buy the lenses from participating eye doctors and optometrists. If you buy them online, you won't qualify for the discount from the manufacturer.

Currently, there is no manufacturer rebate for this lens.

Visit our manufacturer mail-in rebate page for additional details. Keep in mind that contact lens prices at your optometrist's office are often considerably higher than the prices we have listed on this page, even after factoring in a mail-in rebate.

To put it simply, the process of utilizing mail-in rebates can be quite time-consuming and occasionally frustrating. Typically, it involves making your lens purchase online, logging into your retailer account, and obtaining a rebate form that you'll need to print. After completing the form and mailing it, you'll be waiting for a pre-paid VISA card or a similar prepaid card to show up in your mailbox. This entire process can often take 10 to 12 weeks or, in some cases, even longer from the time of your initial purchase. Moreover, it's crucial to understand that you have to order a larger quantity for your AIR OPTIX plus HydraGlyde Multifocal lenses and smaller orders might not qualify for the rebate.

Illustration of a Price After Mail-In Rebate. Not Necessarily Cheaper!

In our price comparison for AIR OPTIX plus HydraGlyde Multifocal, we explicitly state whether a particular offer's price is contingent upon a mail-in rebate requirement. It's also important to be aware that the retailer offering such a rebate might not always provide the best overall deal. Exercise caution when making your decision.

Some retailers add handling fees during the checkout process, often without prior notice. These fees may catch you by surprise when you've added a product to your shopping cart and are ready to complete the checkout. After registering an account and when ready to provide your credit card information, you suddenly discover an additional handling fee on the final order page. In some cases, these fees can effectively double the overall cost of your purchase, rendering the original product price you saw on an ad or a product landing page no longer a great deal. To add further confusion, some retailers may also offer mail-in rebates, potentially leading you to pay more upfront than initially expected and undergo a lengthy rebate process. We refer to this practice as "Inflated Pricing" (some call it "Hidden Costs"), which can leave a really bad taste when dealing with such retailers.

What prompts the implementation of these handling fees?

Retailers adopt handling fees as a strategy to make their initial AIR OPTIX plus HydraGlyde Multifocal prices on various online advertising platforms appear more competitive, aiming to attract initial clicks. Unfortunately, search engines allow them to display paid product ads at a lower price without disclosing these handling fees.

In our price comparison table for AIR OPTIX plus HydraGlyde Multifocal, we provide a note indicating the potential presence of additional handling fees. When applicable, we include these fees in the prices we display. This approach facilitates a more accurate comparison of the true cost of your purchase.

Some retailers offer a best price match or guarantee when they sell you a product like AIR OPTIX plus HydraGlyde Multifocal, but how straightforward is it to claim such a price match? The devil is in the details, and you should ask yourself if it's worth the effort, especially when you can initially find a more cost-effective retailer. Notably, some of the requirements for claiming a price match are:

  • Ensure the competitor's price is for the exact same product and box size, like the AIR OPTIX plus HydraGlyde Multifocal 6-pack, and in stock.
  • The price match must be requested within a certain number of days of your purchase and must be validated by providing a link to the competitor's product page.
  • The competitor must be an authorized retailer or part of a list of accepted retailers and not part of a limited-time promotion, clearance, or membership-based pricing.
  • The final, matched price must include any additional fees, including handling fees, shipping and taxes, to provide an accurate comparison.
  • Other restrictions may apply. Always check the details on their site!

Retailers that mention a price match guarantee on their website which would be applicable to a product such as AIR OPTIX plus HydraGlyde Multifocal include:

No, a valid prescription is necessary when buying contact lenses online in the United States. AIR OPTIX plus HydraGlyde Multifocal are categorized as medical devices, and as such, federal regulations mandate the need for a licensed eye doctor's prescription tailored to your specific requirements. However, the process of purchasing online is made hassle-free as you are not required to physically send a copy of your prescription. Instead, you can provide your eye doctor's office phone number and location where you obtained your prescription. The online vendor will then contact them to verify your prescription. It's important to note that, according to the Contact Lens Rule, you are not obligated to purchase your contact lenses from the same place that prescribed them. Most contact lens retailers feature a user-friendly option during the checkout process, allowing you to locate and automatically input your eye doctor's information, making the validation process smooth and simple.

Curious whether your eyeglass prescription is sufficient for purchasing AIR OPTIX plus HydraGlyde Multifocal contact lenses? The straightforward answer is no. Eyeglass prescriptions primarily specify the lens power you need but lack vital details such as the base curve (BC) and diameter (DIA) required for ordering contact lenses. In essence, a contact lens prescription is tailor-made for a specific product, with technical parameters designed to match the anatomy of your eyes and meet your vision correction needs. To obtain a contact lens prescription and a proper fitting, it's advisable to consult with an Eye Care Professional (ECP) or an optometrist, especially if you're new to wearing contact lenses. Additionally, keep in mind that you are not obligated to purchase your contact lenses from the same place where you received your prescription. Don't forget to request a copy of your contact lens prescription.

Yes, AIR OPTIX plus HydraGlyde Multifocal lenses do have a shelf-life or an expiry date. Contact lenses are made from various materials, and over time, they can degrade or lose their sterility. The expiry date is determined by the manufacturer at the time of packaging and sealing and is printed on the box and the lid of each lens container. It's essential to pay close attention to this date and not use AIR OPTIX plus HydraGlyde Multifocal beyond it, as expired lenses can lead to discomfort, and an increased risk of eye infections.

Are you thinking about enrolling in a subscription (auto-refill) plan for your AIR OPTIX plus HydraGlyde Multifocal contacts? It may seem enticing at first. You commit to automatic reordering every 3, 6, or 12 months and enjoy a 5% or 10% discount. However, pause for a moment: is this really a cost-effective choice? Firstly, changes in your prescription may result from eye exams and ignoring to update your prescription could lead to receiving lenses that no longer align with your vision requirements. Secondly, new deals and promotions, sometimes offering discounts of up to 20%, are consistently popping up on the internet. Therefore, your subscription deal might not be the best offer available.

Been wearing Acuvue Oaysis astigmatism for almost 10 years, and I asked my doctor for a different brand, since they now force you to buy a six month supply per eye at a time, and they only let you have the prescription for their lenses for a year... there also was a bit of fuzziness that made it inferior to glasses clarity and bad for driving at night as it distorted everything. Two weeks ago, I got these prescribed, and I'll never go back!!! Much more comfortable, two year prescription, and with these, the power hasn't changed, but my vision has gotten to 20/15 and is not fuzzy at all like I had come to be used to with Oasys.
Thank you Avaira

Thanks to Avaira I can see up close again! I have worn Acuvue Oasys for many years with no problems, however recently everything within a few feet has become blurry. The Optometrist stated that the ONLY course of action was to wear reading glasses or get Acuvue Oasys for Presbyopia. Fortunately, I FOUND THE POSTS ON THIS WEBSITE!!!! THANKS!!!! :) :) Many people are having blurring issues with Acuvue Oasys. I mentioned this to my Optometrist and he had never heard of this and he didn't believe it . . . "you can't believe everything you read on the Internet." After some discussion, he decided to humor me with a trial pair of Avaira. I put them in and it was like night and day. Everything was crystal clear up close and far away! The optometrist retested me with them in and was completely shocked! I am now using the Avairas and have perfect vision. Thanks to the posts and the site and for getting me to switch to Avaira contacts!!!

After wearing glasses for many years I finally gave contact lenses a shot. Now I wish I had tried contacts earlier. Avaira work great for me.
