WetLoc is a proprietary hydration technology that was developed and trademarked by CooperVision and currently can be found within the entire clariti product family.

In more detail: WetLoc is a non-surface treatment technology that changes the structure of the silicone molecules (which by nature are rather hydrophobic) so they become more water-loving. As a result, the lens surface attracts and binds more water molecules. Or in other words: This technology enables the entire contact lens to stay continuously hydrated and spreads moisture throughout the lens with the goal to mimic the moisture distribution of naturally healthy eyes.

WetLoc was introduced in 2009 with the rollout of the first clariti product: Clariti 1 day. It is now available with the following CooperVision lenses:
