With a few retailers, it's essential to exercise caution and not be swayed solely by the lowest advertised price you might come across online for AIR OPTIX NIGHT & DAY AQUA. They might employ tactics like the bait-and-switch approach, luring customers in with seemingly unbeatable prices, only to tack on exorbitant handling fees (which we incorporate in our price calculation). And while rebates can be enticing, we advise our users to be cautious of retailer mail-in rebates that require submitting or mailing in a form to receive a prepaid Visa or Mastercard reward, as they may involve additional steps and potential long delays in savings realization.

When considering mail-in rebates for contact lenses like AIR OPTIX NIGHT & DAY AQUA, it's important to note that manufacturers such as Alcon primarily offer these incentives through a network of ECPs (eye care professionals). And that's the catch: they are usually only available when you purchase your lenses from your optometrist or eye doctor where you get your eye exam. Online retailers typically don't offer manufacturer rebates.

Currently, there is no manufacturer rebate for this lens.

Check our rebate page for additional details. And keep in mind: Contact lens prices at your optometrist are often much higher than the prices you see on this page - even after getting a mail-in rebate for your purchase at your eye doctor's office.

To put it simply, the process of utilizing mail-in rebates can be quite time-consuming and occasionally frustrating. Typically, it involves making your lens purchase online, logging into your retailer account, and obtaining a rebate form that you'll need to print. After completing the form and mailing it, you'll be waiting for a pre-paid VISA card or a similar prepaid card to show up in your mailbox. This entire process can often take 10 to 12 weeks or, in some cases, even longer from the time of your initial purchase. Moreover, it's crucial to understand that you have to order a larger quantity for your AIR OPTIX NIGHT & DAY AQUA lenses and smaller orders might not qualify for the rebate.

In our price comparison for AIR OPTIX NIGHT & DAY AQUA, we explicitly state whether a particular offer's price is contingent upon a mail-in rebate requirement. It's also important to be aware that the retailer offering such a rebate might not always provide the best overall deal. Exercise caution when making your decision.

Have you ever experienced that unpleasant surprise when you're about to complete an online purchase, and suddenly, there's an unexpected handling fee added to your total cost? Fortunately, there are only a few retailers that sneak in these fees during the checkout process, catching customers off guard. These additional costs can effectively double the overall price you thought you were getting a great deal on.

On top, you might see a price advertised, which requires your to send in a mail-in rebate form, making you pay more upfront and then go through a lengthy rebate process. We call this practice "Inflated Pricing," or some might refer to it as "Hidden Costs." Dealing with such retailers can leave a bad taste in your mouth.

But what drives retailers to implement these handling fees in the first place? The answer lies in their strategy to make their advertised AIR OPTIX NIGHT & DAY AQUA prices look more competitive on various online platforms. They aim to attract clicks by displaying lower initial prices on search engines without disclosing these additional fees.

Some retailers offer a 'Best Price Match' or 'Best Price Guarantee' when you purchase AIR OPTIX NIGHT & DAY AQUA. But how straightforward is it to make a claim for such a price match? The devil is in the details, and it's worth considering whether the effort is worthwhile, especially when you can initially find a more cost-effective retailer. Here are some retailer requirements we have seen:

  • Retailer must be able to verify that the competitor's price is for the exact same product and box size, such as the AIR OPTIX NIGHT & DAY AQUA 6-pack, and that it's in stock.
  • The price match request must be made within a certain number of days after your purchase and must be supported by providing a link to the competitor's product page.
  • The competitor must be an authorized retailer or listed among accepted retailers, and their pricing shouldn't be part of a limited-time promotion, clearance sale, or membership-based program.
  • The final matched price should include any additional fees, such as handling charges, shipping costs, and taxes, to ensure an accurate comparison.

Yes, you must have a valid prescription to purchase contact lenses in the United States. Contact lenses are classified as medical devices, and the FDA mandates that a licensed eye doctor must prescribe the specific lenses you require. However, you don't need to physically send a copy of your prescription to the online retailer. Instead, you can simply provide the phone number of your eye doctor's office or the place where you received your AIR OPTIX NIGHT & DAY AQUA prescription. The retailer will then contact them to verify your prescription. Most contact lens retailers offer a convenient feature during the checkout process that allows you to search for and automatically input your eye doctor's details, making the process smooth and hassle-free.

Wondering if your eyeglass prescription can be used to purchase AIR OPTIX NIGHT & DAY AQUA contact lenses? The short answer is 'No'. Eyeglass prescriptions typically contain information about the power needed for your lenses, but they lack crucial details like the base curve (BC) and diameter (DIA) required for ordering contact lenses. In other words. A contact lens prescription is for a certain product with distinct technical parameters matching the anatomy and the vision correction requirements of your eyes. To get a contact lens prescription and fitting, consult with an Eye Care Professional (ECP) or optometrist, especially if you're a first-time wearer. Additionally, remember that you are not obligated to purchase your contact lenses from the same place where you received your prescription. Always ask for a copy of your contact lens prescription.

Absolutely, like all soft contact lenses, AIR OPTIX NIGHT & DAY AQUA come with an expiry date. These lenses are made from materials which degrade or lose their sterility over time. Manufacturers determine the expiry date during the packaging and sealing process, and it is clearly printed on both the box and the lid of each lens container. It's important to follow this date and avoid using AIR OPTIX NIGHT & DAY AQUA lenses beyond it, as expired lenses may result in discomfort and an increased risk of eye infections.

Are you considering Auto-Refill for your contact lenses? It sounds convenient, right? Some contact lens retailers offer a lens subscription service for your AIR OPTIX NIGHT & DAY AQUA lenses, which automatically delivers your lenses every 3, 6, or 12 months. But let's pause and think about whether it's really valuable. Firstly, eye exams can lead to prescription changes. If you forget to update your prescription or your lens choice, you might end up with lenses that no longer match your vision needs. And secondly, the online world is full of great deals and offers, so it's always worth checking for new promotions before your next purchase.

Change in product
I have been wearing these contact lenses for 20+years without any problems but into my second week of the current lenses I have developed an issue much the same as the previous posts. After two trips to Hospital it was determined that my left eye had deep stromal inflammation and mild microbial keratitis secondary to contact lens wear or toxic reaction to contact lens wear. I am now two weeks into not wearing these contacts and waiting for my left eye to heal but anticipating that a return to wearing these lenses may not be possible.
Great lenses
I've been using these contact lenses for many years. I have found that with other lenses, I often had problems and got watery eyes at work in the afternoons because I sit in front of a computer all day. Since I started using Air Optix Night & Day, I never had those problems again. I am one of those people who wear them for 30 days and won't take them out unless a bit of dust or hair gets in your eye, and you have to clean the lenses. But this rarely happens to me. If I took them out every night, as I had to do with other lenses earlier, I would have more problems with dust particles on the lenses. I also have to get up (as a mother) at night to take care of the baby and I can see everything - thanks to the contacts - no need to search for my glasses. Since I have a very strong visual impairment (-6 and -7), these lenses help dramatically. A pair of glasses with the same strength would distort your view and make everything smaller. The glasses are also not only thick and heavy but also very expensive, and it was very annoying that my peripheral view was blurry. Thanks to the N&D lenses, I now see everything perfectly and don't have to get surgery (Lasik) either because they can be worn 24 hours a day. They are not the cheapest, but they are the best lenses I have ever worn and I will continue to buy them.
Very comfortable
Very comfortable to wear - even for very dry eyes. Other soft contact lenses stick on my eyes. I only use them during the day and remove them at night. I got the feeling that these lenses provide a sharper vision , although it may also be because they do not get attached to the eye.
