When it comes to selecting the right retailer for your Biofinity Multifocal contact lenses, there are a few crucial factors to keep in mind. Some retailers, such as ContactsDirect, 1-800 Contacts, Lensabl, Lenscrafters and DiscountContactLenses, have earned a stellar reputation for their commitment to customer satisfaction and exceptional service when it comes to selling Biofinity Multifocal. These trusted names in the industry have a long-standing history of delivering on their promises, ensuring that your contact lens purchasing experience is smooth and hassle-free.

When dealing with certain retailers, it's crucial to remain vigilant and not base your decision solely on the initially low, seemingly unbeatable price you might encounter online for Biofinity Multifocal. Some of them employ tactics such as the bait-and-switch, getting you excited with attractive prices, only to surprise you with unexpectedly high handling fees. Whenever possible, our price list includes indications of additional handling fees, which we factor into the total box cost. While rebates can be alluring, we advise our users to exercise caution when it comes to retailer mail-in rebates that necessitate the submission of forms to receive a prepaid Visa or Mastercard reward. These rebates can involve extra steps and significant delays in realizing your savings.

Discounts

When considering mail-in rebates for contact lenses like Biofinity Multifocal, it's important to note that manufacturers such as CooperVision primarily offer these incentives through a network of ECPs (eye care professionals). And that's the catch: they are usually only available when you purchase your lenses from your optometrist or eye doctor where you get your eye exam. Online retailers typically don't offer manufacturer rebates.

Valid: January 1, 2024 - June 30, 2024
  • Save $50 when you buy 4 boxes with 6 lenses (annual supply).

Check our rebate page for additional details. And keep in mind: Contact lens prices at your optometrist are often much higher than the prices you see on this page - even after getting a mail-in rebate for your purchase at your eye doctor's office.

To put it simply, the process of utilizing mail-in rebates can be quite time-consuming and occasionally frustrating. Typically, it involves making your lens purchase online, logging into your retailer account, and obtaining a rebate form that you'll need to print. After completing the form and mailing it, you'll be waiting for a pre-paid VISA card or a similar prepaid card to show up in your mailbox. This entire process can often take 10 to 12 weeks or, in some cases, even longer from the time of your initial purchase. Moreover, it's crucial to understand that you have to order a larger quantity for your Biofinity Multifocal lenses and smaller orders might not qualify for the rebate.

In our price comparison for Biofinity Multifocal, we explicitly state whether a particular offer's price is contingent upon a mail-in rebate requirement. It's also important to be aware that the retailer offering such a rebate might not always provide the best overall deal. Exercise caution when making your decision.

Have you ever experienced that unpleasant surprise when you're about to complete an online purchase, and suddenly, there's an unexpected handling fee added to your total cost? Fortunately, there are only a few retailers that sneak in these fees during the checkout process, catching customers off guard. These additional costs can effectively double the overall price you thought you were getting a great deal on.

On top, you might see a price advertised, which requires your to send in a mail-in rebate form, making you pay more upfront and then go through a lengthy rebate process. We call this practice "Inflated Pricing," or some might refer to it as "Hidden Costs." Dealing with such retailers can leave a bad taste in your mouth.

But what drives retailers to implement these handling fees in the first place? The answer lies in their strategy to make their advertised Biofinity Multifocal prices look more competitive on various online platforms. They aim to attract clicks by displaying lower initial prices on search engines without disclosing these additional fees.

On this price comparison table for Biofinity Multifocal, we make sure to alert you to the potential presence of these handling fees. Some retailers offer a 'Best Price Match' or 'Best Price Guarantee' when you purchase Biofinity Multifocal. But how straightforward is it to make a claim for such a price match? The devil is in the details, and it's worth considering whether the effort is worthwhile, especially when you can initially find a more cost-effective retailer. Here are some retailer requirements we have seen:

  • Retailer must be able to verify that the competitor's price is for the exact same product and box size, such as the Biofinity Multifocal 6-pack, and that it's in stock.
  • The price match request must be made within a certain number of days after your purchase and must be supported by providing a link to the competitor's product page.
  • The competitor must be an authorized retailer or listed among accepted retailers, and their pricing shouldn't be part of a limited-time promotion, clearance sale, or membership-based program.
  • The final matched price should include any additional fees, such as handling charges, shipping costs, and taxes, to ensure an accurate comparison.

Keep in mind that other restrictions may also apply, so always review the details on their website! Retailers who advertise a price match guarantee on their website for a product like Biofinity Multifocal include:

The good news is that many retailers offer complimentary shipping for your purchase of Biofinity Multifocal contact lenses. However, there might be a caveat. While most of the top retailers on our list provide free shipping, some have set order minimums. Yes, you must have a valid prescription to purchase contact lenses in the United States. Contact lenses are classified as medical devices, and the FDA mandates that a licensed eye doctor must prescribe the specific lenses you require. However, you don't need to physically send a copy of your prescription to the online retailer. Instead, you can simply provide the phone number of your eye doctor's office or the place where you received your Biofinity Multifocal prescription. The retailer will then contact them to verify your prescription. Most contact lens retailers offer a convenient feature during the checkout process that allows you to search for and automatically input your eye doctor's details, making the process smooth and hassle-free.

Wondering if your eyeglass prescription can be used to purchase Biofinity Multifocal contact lenses? The short answer is 'No'. Eyeglass prescriptions typically contain information about the power needed for your lenses, but they lack crucial details like the base curve (BC) and diameter (DIA) required for ordering contact lenses. In other words. A contact lens prescription is for a certain product with distinct technical parameters matching the anatomy and the vision correction requirements of your eyes. To get a contact lens prescription and fitting, consult with an Eye Care Professional (ECP) or optometrist, especially if you're a first-time wearer. Additionally, remember that you are not obligated to purchase your contact lenses from the same place where you received your prescription. Always ask for a copy of your contact lens prescription.

Absolutely, like all soft contact lenses, Biofinity Multifocal come with an expiry date. These lenses are made from materials which degrade or lose their sterility over time. Manufacturers determine the expiry date during the packaging and sealing process, and it is clearly printed on both the box and the lid of each lens container. It's important to follow this date and avoid using Biofinity Multifocal lenses beyond it, as expired lenses may result in discomfort and an increased risk of eye infections.

Are you considering Auto-Refill for your contact lenses? It sounds convenient, right? Some contact lens retailers offer a lens subscription service for your Biofinity Multifocal lenses, which automatically delivers your lenses every 3, 6, or 12 months. But let's pause and think about whether it's really valuable. Firstly, eye exams can lead to prescription changes. If you forget to update your prescription or your lens choice, you might end up with lenses that no longer match your vision needs. And secondly, the online world is full of great deals and offers, so it's always worth checking for new promotions before your next purchase.

Ok at best

At first I was really excited to try bifocal lenses. I didn't have much of a problem adjusting to focus on different fields, but I work at a computer all day and it starts getting uncomfortable to blink 2 hours in even with eye drops. On bad air quality days I'm lucky if I don't have to take them out by 4pm. I've had them for 2.5 months already and I thought my eyes would be used to them by now but it's still a problem. I'm very much regretting switching to this brand. The only problem with my previous contacts was that it was hard to see mid-field since they weren't multifocal.

I am very happy with these lenses as I tested a bunch of other brands: I tried oasys, purevision 2, and the air optix multifocal lenses. Latter one came close to the biofinity which I can easily leave in for the whole day. Something I couldn't do with any other brand due to my sensitive, dry eyes. I also find them easy to take out and they fit really well. Almost feel glued on to my eye after a while. I am thinking about trying a one day multi-focal lens (maybe the clariti or the proclear which are also manufactured by cooper). Need to do some homework and compare them before asking my eye doc for another trial.
Very comfortable lenses

My prescription is -9.5D (left eye) and +2.0D (right eye) - I know, quite unusual. With the biofinity and get >90% vision correction.
