Here are additional details on annual savings for PureVision2 when comparing prices and retailers across various box sizes.

  • The best PureVision2 deal we found is from LensDirect at $56.17 for a 6-pack box.
  • To secure a year's supply, you'll need to order two 6-pack boxes per eye.
  • The highest-priced offer among the retailers we've compared is $83.99 for a 6-pack box.
  • Getting the best deal from LensDirect results in substantial savings of $112 per year compared to purchasing two 6-pack boxes at $83.99 each.

When shopping for PureVision2, it's important to be cautious and not base your decision solely on the lowest advertised price you encounter online. Some retailers employ deceptive tactics, such as the bait-and-switch method, where they entice customers with seemingly unbeatable prices, only to add substantial handling fees (a cost we include in our price calculation). Additionally, while retailer mail-in rebates may seem appealing, we strongly recommend to check the requirements for the claim submission to receive a prepaid Visa or Mastercard reward. Such rebates involve extra steps and potentially lengthy delays in realizing your savings.

When it comes to selecting the right retailer for your PureVision2 contact lenses, there are a few crucial factors to keep in mind. Some retailers, such as ContactsDirect, 1-800 Contacts, Lensabl, Lenscrafters and DiscountContactLenses, have earned a stellar reputation for their commitment to customer satisfaction and exceptional service when it comes to selling PureVision2. These trusted names in the industry have a long-standing history of delivering on their promises, ensuring that your contact lens purchasing experience is smooth and hassle-free.

  • For a 6-month supply, purchase 1 box containing 6 lenses.
  • For a 12-month supply, buy 2 boxes containing 6 lenses per box.

Tip: To optimize your savings, we suggest selecting a higher lens count, saving you extra money. Recommended box quantities are per eye.

Discounts

Instant discounts for PureVision2 provide a convenient and significant way to save on your purchase. One common method involves the use of discount or coupon codes, prominently displayed at the top of each page or on the retailer's home page.

Example of Retailer Discount Codes

We take these codes into consideration when calculating our price comparison, where applicable. Simply apply these codes during the checkout process to calculate a revised order total, which often reflects a 5 to 20% reduction from the original order cost.

When considering mail-in rebates for contact lenses like PureVision2, it's important to note that manufacturers such as Bausch+Lomb primarily offer these incentives through a network of ECPs (eye care professionals). And that's the catch: they are usually only available when you purchase your lenses from your optometrist or eye doctor where you get your eye exam. Online retailers typically don't offer manufacturer rebates.

Currently, there is no manufacturer rebate for this lens.

Check our rebate page for additional details. And keep in mind: Contact lens prices at your optometrist are often much higher than the prices you see on this page - even after getting a mail-in rebate for your purchase at your eye doctor's office.

To put it simply, the process of utilizing mail-in rebates can be quite time-consuming and occasionally frustrating. Typically, it involves making your lens purchase online, logging into your retailer account, and obtaining a rebate form that you'll need to print. After completing the form and mailing it, you'll be waiting for a pre-paid VISA card or a similar prepaid card to show up in your mailbox. This entire process can often take 10 to 12 weeks or, in some cases, even longer from the time of your initial purchase. Moreover, it's crucial to understand that you have to order a larger quantity for your PureVision2 lenses and smaller orders might not qualify for the rebate.

In our price comparison for PureVision2, we explicitly state whether a particular offer's price is contingent upon a mail-in rebate requirement. It's also important to be aware that the retailer offering such a rebate might not always provide the best overall deal. Exercise caution when making your decision.

Some retailers add handling fees during the checkout process, often without prior notice. These fees may catch you by surprise when you've added a product to your shopping cart and are ready to complete the checkout. After registering an account and when ready to provide your credit card information, you suddenly discover an additional handling fee on the final order page. In some cases, these fees can effectively double the overall cost of your purchase, rendering the original product price you saw on an ad or a product landing page no longer a great deal. To add further confusion, some retailers may also offer mail-in rebates, potentially leading you to pay more upfront than initially expected and undergo a lengthy rebate process. We refer to this practice as "Inflated Pricing" (some call it "Hidden Costs"), which can leave a really bad taste when dealing with such retailers.

What prompts the implementation of these handling fees?

Retailers adopt handling fees as a strategy to make their initial PureVision2 prices on various online advertising platforms appear more competitive, aiming to attract initial clicks. Unfortunately, search engines allow them to display paid product ads at a lower price without disclosing these handling fees.

In our price comparison table for PureVision2, we provide a note indicating the potential presence of additional handling fees. When applicable, we include these fees in the prices we display. This approach facilitates a more accurate comparison of the true cost of your purchase.

Some retailers offer a best price match or guarantee when they sell you a product like PureVision2, but how straightforward is it to claim such a price match? The devil is in the details, and you should ask yourself if it's worth the effort, especially when you can initially find a more cost-effective retailer. Notably, some of the requirements for claiming a price match are:

  • Ensure the competitor's price is for the exact same product and box size, like the PureVision2 6-pack, and in stock.
  • The price match must be requested within a certain number of days of your purchase and must be validated by providing a link to the competitor's product page.
  • The competitor must be an authorized retailer or part of a list of accepted retailers and not part of a limited-time promotion, clearance, or membership-based pricing.
  • The final, matched price must include any additional fees, including handling fees, shipping and taxes, to provide an accurate comparison.
  • Other restrictions may apply. Always check the details on their site!

Retailers that mention a price match guarantee on their website which would be applicable to a product such as PureVision2 include:

Many retailers offer complimentary shipping when you buy PureVision2 contact lenses and some of them do have minimum order requirements. You might find offers like 'Free Shipping' for orders over $89 or $99, which could be easily met when you order two boxes for each eye. Yes, you must have a valid prescription to purchase contact lenses in the United States. Contact lenses are classified as medical devices, and the FDA mandates that a licensed eye doctor must prescribe the specific lenses you require. However, you don't need to physically send a copy of your prescription to the online retailer. Instead, you can simply provide the phone number of your eye doctor's office or the place where you received your PureVision2 prescription. The retailer will then contact them to verify your prescription. Most contact lens retailers offer a convenient feature during the checkout process that allows you to search for and automatically input your eye doctor's details, making the process smooth and hassle-free.

Curious whether your eyeglass prescription is sufficient for purchasing PureVision2 contact lenses? The straightforward answer is no. Eyeglass prescriptions primarily specify the lens power you need but lack vital details such as the base curve (BC) and diameter (DIA) required for ordering contact lenses. In essence, a contact lens prescription is tailor-made for a specific product, with technical parameters designed to match the anatomy of your eyes and meet your vision correction needs. To obtain a contact lens prescription and a proper fitting, it's advisable to consult with an Eye Care Professional (ECP) or an optometrist, especially if you're new to wearing contact lenses. Additionally, keep in mind that you are not obligated to purchase your contact lenses from the same place where you received your prescription. Don't forget to request a copy of your contact lens prescription.

Yes, PureVision2 lenses do have a shelf-life or an expiry date. Contact lenses are made from various materials, and over time, they can degrade or lose their sterility. The expiry date is determined by the manufacturer at the time of packaging and sealing and is printed on the box and the lid of each lens container. It's essential to pay close attention to this date and not use PureVision2 beyond it, as expired lenses can lead to discomfort, and an increased risk of eye infections.

Are you thinking about enrolling in a subscription (auto-refill) plan for your PureVision2 contacts? It may seem enticing at first. You commit to automatic reordering every 3, 6, or 12 months and enjoy a 5% or 10% discount. However, pause for a moment: is this really a cost-effective choice? Firstly, changes in your prescription may result from eye exams and ignoring to update your prescription could lead to receiving lenses that no longer align with your vision requirements. Secondly, new deals and promotions, sometimes offering discounts of up to 20%, are consistently popping up on the internet. Therefore, your subscription deal might not be the best offer available.

I can't understand the negative reviews. 30 days and nights are not a problem at all, even if I only wear the lenses for 21 days and then take a week off, but, I've also tried a month. I also have dry eyes sometimes, but I have glasses as well. I even like swimming with lenses and going to the sauna, the list goes on. Never had any problems, 100% recommend it!
