When does it make sense to opt for the smaller 30-lens box size?

If you're someone who only occasionally wears contact lenses, maybe for activities like sports, travel, or special occasions, the smaller 30-lens box of DAILIES AquaComfort Plus could be the perfect choice. You get the convenience of having contact lenses on hand without the commitment of a larger supply. Moreover, if you're a first-time contact lens user and not entirely sure about a long-term commitment, the smaller box size provides you with the flexibility to experiment. This allows you to assess comfort, convenience, and suitability without the need to invest in a larger supply until you're completely confident in your choice.

With a few retailers, it's essential to exercise caution and not be swayed solely by the lowest advertised price you might come across online for DAILIES AquaComfort Plus. They might employ tactics like the bait-and-switch approach, luring customers in with seemingly unbeatable prices, only to tack on exorbitant handling fees (which we incorporate in our price calculation). And while rebates can be enticing, we advise our users to be cautious of retailer mail-in rebates that require submitting or mailing in a form to receive a prepaid Visa or Mastercard reward, as they may involve additional steps and potential long delays in savings realization.

When considering mail-in rebates for contact lenses like DAILIES AquaComfort Plus, it's important to note that manufacturers such as Alcon primarily offer these incentives through a network of ECPs (eye care professionals). And that's the catch: they are usually only available when you purchase your lenses from your optometrist or eye doctor where you get your eye exam. Online retailers typically don't offer manufacturer rebates.

Currently, there is no manufacturer rebate for this lens.

Check our rebate page for additional details. And keep in mind: Contact lens prices at your optometrist are often much higher than the prices you see on this page - even after getting a mail-in rebate for your purchase at your eye doctor's office.

To put it simply, the process of utilizing mail-in rebates can be quite time-consuming and occasionally frustrating. Typically, it involves making your lens purchase online, logging into your retailer account, and obtaining a rebate form that you'll need to print. After completing the form and mailing it, you'll be waiting for a pre-paid VISA card or a similar prepaid card to show up in your mailbox. This entire process can often take 10 to 12 weeks or, in some cases, even longer from the time of your initial purchase. Moreover, it's crucial to understand that you have to order a larger quantity for your DAILIES AquaComfort Plus lenses and smaller orders might not qualify for the rebate.

Illustration of a Price After Mail-In Rebate. Not Necessarily Cheaper!

In our price comparison for DAILIES AquaComfort Plus, we explicitly state whether a particular offer's price is contingent upon a mail-in rebate requirement. It's also important to be aware that the retailer offering such a rebate might not always provide the best overall deal. Exercise caution when making your decision.

Have you ever experienced that unpleasant surprise when you're about to complete an online purchase, and suddenly, there's an unexpected handling fee added to your total cost? Fortunately, there are only a few retailers that sneak in these fees during the checkout process, catching customers off guard. These additional costs can effectively double the overall price you thought you were getting a great deal on.

On top, you might see a price advertised, which requires your to send in a mail-in rebate form, making you pay more upfront and then go through a lengthy rebate process. We call this practice "Inflated Pricing," or some might refer to it as "Hidden Costs." Dealing with such retailers can leave a bad taste in your mouth.

But what drives retailers to implement these handling fees in the first place? The answer lies in their strategy to make their advertised DAILIES AquaComfort Plus prices look more competitive on various online platforms. They aim to attract clicks by displaying lower initial prices on search engines without disclosing these additional fees.

On this price comparison table for DAILIES AquaComfort Plus, we make sure to alert you to the potential presence of these handling fees. When applicable, we include these fees in the prices we display and show a small note (e.g. 'After mail-in rebate and handling fees'), providing you with a clear and accurate comparison of the true cost of your purchase.

Some retailers offer a 'Best Price Match' or 'Best Price Guarantee' when you purchase DAILIES AquaComfort Plus. But how straightforward is it to make a claim for such a price match? The devil is in the details, and it's worth considering whether the effort is worthwhile, especially when you can initially find a more cost-effective retailer. Here are some retailer requirements we have seen:

  • Retailer must be able to verify that the competitor's price is for the exact same product and box size, such as the DAILIES AquaComfort Plus 90-pack, and that it's in stock.
  • The price match request must be made within a certain number of days after your purchase and must be supported by providing a link to the competitor's product page.
  • The competitor must be an authorized retailer or listed among accepted retailers, and their pricing shouldn't be part of a limited-time promotion, clearance sale, or membership-based program.
  • The final matched price should include any additional fees, such as handling charges, shipping costs, and taxes, to ensure an accurate comparison.

Keep in mind that other restrictions may also apply, so always review the details on their website! Retailers who advertise a price match guarantee on their website for a product like DAILIES AquaComfort Plus include:

No, a valid prescription is necessary when buying contact lenses online in the United States. DAILIES AquaComfort Plus are categorized as medical devices, and as such, federal regulations mandate the need for a licensed eye doctor's prescription tailored to your specific requirements. However, the process of purchasing online is made hassle-free as you are not required to physically send a copy of your prescription. Instead, you can provide your eye doctor's office phone number and location where you obtained your prescription. The online vendor will then contact them to verify your prescription. It's important to note that, according to the Contact Lens Rule, you are not obligated to purchase your contact lenses from the same place that prescribed them. Most contact lens retailers feature a user-friendly option during the checkout process, allowing you to locate and automatically input your eye doctor's information, making the validation process smooth and simple.

Wondering if your eyeglass prescription can be used to purchase DAILIES AquaComfort Plus contact lenses? The short answer is 'No'. Eyeglass prescriptions typically contain information about the power needed for your lenses, but they lack crucial details like the base curve (BC) and diameter (DIA) required for ordering contact lenses. In other words. A contact lens prescription is for a certain product with distinct technical parameters matching the anatomy and the vision correction requirements of your eyes. To get a contact lens prescription and fitting, consult with an Eye Care Professional (ECP) or optometrist, especially if you're a first-time wearer. Additionally, remember that you are not obligated to purchase your contact lenses from the same place where you received your prescription. Always ask for a copy of your contact lens prescription.

Absolutely, like all soft contact lenses, DAILIES AquaComfort Plus come with an expiry date. These lenses are made from materials which degrade or lose their sterility over time. Manufacturers determine the expiry date during the packaging and sealing process, and it is clearly printed on both the box and the lid of each lens container. It's important to follow this date and avoid using DAILIES AquaComfort Plus lenses beyond it, as expired lenses may result in discomfort and an increased risk of eye infections.

Are you thinking about enrolling in a subscription (auto-refill) plan for your DAILIES AquaComfort Plus contacts? It may seem enticing at first. You commit to automatic reordering every 3, 6, or 12 months and enjoy a 5% or 10% discount. However, pause for a moment: is this really a cost-effective choice? Firstly, changes in your prescription may result from eye exams and ignoring to update your prescription could lead to receiving lenses that no longer align with your vision requirements. Secondly, new deals and promotions, sometimes offering discounts of up to 20%, are consistently popping up on the internet. Therefore, your subscription deal might not be the best offer available.

Great lenses!
avatarA.W
Okay so first, I went to my ophthalmologist who checked my eyes and gave me approval for contact lenses. Then, I went to an optician who gave me more advice. I then switched from monthly to daily lenses. I find it super practical if you only want to put on daily lenses for certain occasions, but for me, these are my go-to lenses. They are always in my pocket and if I forgot my glasses or got invited somewhere spontaneously, I already have them in my eye. My eyes tolerate them very well and I have no health problems. The expiry date isn't until 2023 which is very long. Another positive point is that the daily lenses from an online retailer are cheaper than buying them from my eye doctor. Clearly a buy recommendation!
Top price and great quality

Most people I'm guessing will know these lenses and the high quality associated with them. The contact lenses are very comfortable to wear and you don't even notice that they are in your eyes! You can also easily leave them in all day. The markings on the lens are very easy to see so that the toric lens can be used correctly.
My take on the DAILIES
avatarSusanL
I have been wearing contacts for like 18 years and I never really had a pair that I absolutely and completely loved before, but I have these Dailies Aquacomfort now and they are the best contacts ever - I love them, I love them, I love them... My eyes are super sensitive and I only wear contacts when I take videos or go out to places. Most of the time I wear my glasses but now with these, I will wear contacts more often.
