ACUVUE OASYS vs BiofinityUpdated: June 25, 2020

Like ACUVUE OASYS®, CooperVision's Biofinity is a high-performance silicone hydrogel contact lens.  They are both made with a highly breathable material and a greater than 140Dk/t value.

Both lenses feature their own proprietary hydrophilic wetting technology. Biofinity comes with CooperVision's Aquaform and a slightly higher water content while ACUVUE OASYS® utilizes Johnson & Johnson's HYDRACLEAR Plus technology.

Found an error? Please let us know - we try our best, but sometimes it's just not enough :-)

Our Take:

Can we call one of the lenses the winner in this comparison? We don't think so. Biofinity is a bit cheaper than the OASYS which is a bi-weekly lens. However, with ACUVUE OASYS® you get UVA and UVB blocking - a feature that is not available with any of the Biofinity products. Biofinity on the other hand is equipped with an aspherical lens design that is pledging to reduce halos and glares.
