Yes. Special discounts for ACUVUE OASYS are a popular and instant way to save on your purchase. They change frequently and the most prominent approach for retailers is to offer them at the top of each page or their home page.

Example of Retailer Discount Codes

ACUVUE OASYS discount codes can be applied during the checkout process to calculate a revised order total, often reflecting a 5 to 20% reduction from the original order cost.

When it comes to selecting the right retailer for your ACUVUE OASYS contact lenses, there are a few crucial factors to keep in mind. Some retailers, such as ContactsDirect, 1-800 Contacts, Lensabl, Lenscrafters and DiscountContactLenses, have earned a stellar reputation for their commitment to customer satisfaction and exceptional service when it comes to selling ACUVUE OASYS. These trusted names in the industry have a long-standing history of delivering on their promises, ensuring that your contact lens purchasing experience is smooth and hassle-free.

The 24-lens box gives you an additional 7% in savings compared to the 12-lens box.

When does it make sense to opt for the smaller 12-lens box size?

If you're someone who only occasionally wears contact lenses, maybe for activities like sports, travel, or special occasions, the smaller 12-lens box of ACUVUE OASYS could be the perfect choice. You get the convenience of having contact lenses on hand without the commitment of a larger supply. Moreover, if you're a first-time contact lens user and not entirely sure about a long-term commitment, the smaller box size provides you with the flexibility to experiment. This allows you to assess comfort, convenience, and suitability without the need to invest in a larger supply until you're completely confident in your choice.

  • For a 6-month supply, buy 1 box containing 12 lenses per box.
  • Secure your 12-month supply by purchasing 2 boxes containing 12 lenses or 1 box containing 24 lenses.

Tip: To optimize your savings, we suggest selecting a higher lens count, saving you extra money. Recommended box quantities are per eye.

Here are additional details on annual savings for ACUVUE OASYS when comparing prices and retailers across various box sizes.

  • The best ACUVUE OASYS deal is from ContactsDirect at $131.74 for a 24-pack box. For a yearly supply you should order one 24-pack box per eye.
  • The highest priced offer among the retailers in our comparison is $102.99 for a 12-pack box.
  • Or in other words: When you choose ContactsDirect, your annual savings will add up to $161 in total, assuming you are buying contact lenses for your left and right eye.

With a few retailers, it's essential to exercise caution and not be swayed solely by the lowest advertised price you might come across online for ACUVUE OASYS. They might employ tactics like the bait-and-switch approach, luring customers in with seemingly unbeatable prices, only to tack on exorbitant handling fees (which we incorporate in our price calculation). And while rebates can be enticing, we advise our users to be cautious of retailer mail-in rebates that require submitting or mailing in a form to receive a prepaid Visa or Mastercard reward, as they may involve additional steps and potential long delays in savings realization.

When considering mail-in rebates for contact lenses like ACUVUE OASYS, it's important to note that manufacturers such as Johnson & Johnson primarily offer these incentives through a network of ECPs (eye care professionals). And that's the catch: they are usually only available when you purchase your lenses from your optometrist or eye doctor where you get your eye exam. Online retailers typically don't offer manufacturer rebates.

Manufacturer mail-in rebate for ACUVUE OASYS
Valid: January 1, 2024 - June 30, 2024
  • Save $25 when you buy 2 boxes with 12 lenses (6 month supply).
  • Save $50 when you buy 4 boxes with 12 lenses (annual supply).
  • Save $50 when you buy 2 boxes with 24 lenses (annual supply).

Check our rebate page for additional details. And keep in mind: Contact lens prices at your optometrist are often much higher than the prices you see on this page - even after getting a mail-in rebate for your purchase at your eye doctor's office.

To put it simply, the process of utilizing mail-in rebates can be quite time-consuming and occasionally frustrating. Typically, it involves making your lens purchase online, logging into your retailer account, and obtaining a rebate form that you'll need to print. After completing the form and mailing it, you'll be waiting for a pre-paid VISA card or a similar prepaid card to show up in your mailbox. This entire process can often take 10 to 12 weeks or, in some cases, even longer from the time of your initial purchase. Moreover, it's crucial to understand that you have to order a larger quantity for your ACUVUE OASYS lenses and smaller orders might not qualify for the rebate.

In our price comparison for ACUVUE OASYS, we explicitly state whether a particular offer's price is contingent upon a mail-in rebate requirement. It's also important to be aware that the retailer offering such a rebate might not always provide the best overall deal. Exercise caution when making your decision.

Some retailers add handling fees during the checkout process, often without prior notice. These fees may catch you by surprise when you've added a product to your shopping cart and are ready to complete the checkout. After registering an account and when ready to provide your credit card information, you suddenly discover an additional handling fee on the final order page. In some cases, these fees can effectively double the overall cost of your purchase, rendering the original product price you saw on an ad or a product landing page no longer a great deal. To add further confusion, some retailers may also offer mail-in rebates, potentially leading you to pay more upfront than initially expected and undergo a lengthy rebate process. We refer to this practice as "Inflated Pricing" (some call it "Hidden Costs"), which can leave a really bad taste when dealing with such retailers.

What prompts the implementation of these handling fees?

Retailers adopt handling fees as a strategy to make their initial ACUVUE OASYS prices on various online advertising platforms appear more competitive, aiming to attract initial clicks. Unfortunately, search engines allow them to display paid product ads at a lower price without disclosing these handling fees.

In our price comparison table for ACUVUE OASYS, we provide a note indicating the potential presence of additional handling fees. When applicable, we include these fees in the prices we display. This approach facilitates a more accurate comparison of the true cost of your purchase.

Some retailers offer a 'Best Price Match' or 'Best Price Guarantee' when you purchase ACUVUE OASYS. But how straightforward is it to make a claim for such a price match? The devil is in the details, and it's worth considering whether the effort is worthwhile, especially when you can initially find a more cost-effective retailer. Here are some retailer requirements we have seen:

  • Retailer must be able to verify that the competitor's price is for the exact same product and box size, such as the ACUVUE OASYS 24-pack, and that it's in stock.
  • The price match request must be made within a certain number of days after your purchase and must be supported by providing a link to the competitor's product page.
  • The competitor must be an authorized retailer or listed among accepted retailers, and their pricing shouldn't be part of a limited-time promotion, clearance sale, or membership-based program.
  • The final matched price should include any additional fees, such as handling charges, shipping costs, and taxes, to ensure an accurate comparison.

Keep in mind that other restrictions may also apply, so always review the details on their website! Retailers who advertise a price match guarantee on their website for a product like ACUVUE OASYS include:

Many retailers offer complimentary shipping when you buy ACUVUE OASYS contact lenses and some of them do have minimum order requirements. You might find offers like 'Free Shipping' for orders over $89 or $99, which could be easily met when you order two boxes for each eye. Here's a quick look at the shipping costs (for standard shipping) as of June 2024:

Yes, you must have a valid prescription to purchase contact lenses in the United States. Contact lenses are classified as medical devices, and the FDA mandates that a licensed eye doctor must prescribe the specific lenses you require. However, you don't need to physically send a copy of your prescription to the online retailer. Instead, you can simply provide the phone number of your eye doctor's office or the place where you received your ACUVUE OASYS prescription. The retailer will then contact them to verify your prescription. Most contact lens retailers offer a convenient feature during the checkout process that allows you to search for and automatically input your eye doctor's details, making the process smooth and hassle-free.

Wondering if you can use your eyeglass prescription to buy ACUVUE OASYS contact lenses? The short answer is no. While your eyeglass prescription specifies the lens power you need, it lacks essential details like the base curve (BC) and diameter (DIA) required for ordering contact lenses. Contact lens prescriptions are for specific products, with technical parameters tailored to your eye anatomy and vision correction needs, which are crucial for ensuring a proper fit on the eye. Consult with an Eye Care Professional (ECP) or an optometrist and get a separate contact lens prescription to ensure safe and effective use of your contact lenses. Additionally, you're not required to purchase your contacts from the same place where you got your prescription. Remember to ask for a copy of your contact lens prescription.

Absolutely, like all soft contact lenses, ACUVUE OASYS come with an expiry date. These lenses are made from materials which degrade or lose their sterility over time. Manufacturers determine the expiry date during the packaging and sealing process, and it is clearly printed on both the box and the lid of each lens container. It's important to follow this date and avoid using ACUVUE OASYS lenses beyond it, as expired lenses may result in discomfort and an increased risk of eye infections.

Are you thinking about enrolling in a subscription (auto-refill) plan for your ACUVUE OASYS contacts? It may seem enticing at first. You commit to automatic reordering every 3, 6, or 12 months and enjoy a 5% or 10% discount. However, pause for a moment: is this really a cost-effective choice? Firstly, changes in your prescription may result from eye exams and ignoring to update your prescription could lead to receiving lenses that no longer align with your vision requirements. Secondly, new deals and promotions, sometimes offering discounts of up to 20%, are consistently popping up on the internet. Therefore, your subscription deal might not be the best offer available.

Johnson & Johnson's ACUVUE OASYS features a range of distinctive attributes designed to enhance comfort, maintain moisture, and optimize visual acuity. These features include:

  • Silicone Hydrogel Lens Material: Senofilcon A
  • Water Content: 38%
  • High Oxygen Transmission: 147 Dk/t
  • HYDRACLEAR® PLUS technology, for more moisture and lens surface smoothness.
  • UV Blocking: Class 1, 96% UVA, 99% UVB

ACUVUE OASYS is rated 3.8 out of 5, based on feedback from 78 users.

Saw these comments, and it's a bit surprising. Grabbed some new Oasys lenses from Lensabl a few weeks ago – still comfy and holding up well. Maybe some folks are trying different cleaning solutions?
DISAPPOINTED WITH J&J

I have been wearing Acuvue Oaysis for astigmatism for almost 10 years now. No complaints with the contacts. Super comfortable, very durable, comes in on time and decently affordable on discount contacts, 1-800 etc. The issue is that they have recently discontinued the powers that I wear, due to them not being “bought enough”. I’m sorry, but I buy them and I’m sure other people do as well.
Their rebates are a joke
avatarMarty
Don’t waste your time with the rebates. I tried 3 years in a row and had no luck.
